OMSNIC Sr. Network Administrator provides technical and administrative support for the OMSNIC network infrastructure across multiple platforms. This position is responsible for managing the internal and external networks, telecommunications, Mobile Device Management (MDM), firewall, switches, Active Directory, Wi-Fi, Disaster Recovery, printers, VMWare and Azure environment. Including support of key company applications, such as ImageRight (a plus), Microsoft, Adobe, SFTP, and SIEM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor network uptime and trouble shoot network related issues
• Install, integrate, and maintain new software applications or hardware on the LAN/WAN, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary
• Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware on the LAN/WAN, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary
• Ensure network security and connectivity is maintained by developing network access control and monitoring
• Add and maintain users on the network, assigning application access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations within standards
• Develop, install, and maintain disaster recovery systems to back up server systems, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary
• Monitor and report licenses on applications to ensure compliance
• Provide in-person, via email, and by phone support for all internal and external customers relating to computers and electronic equipment
• Provide one-on-one or group training for all internal/traveling/remote employees on all desktop applications
• Provide installation of workstations and printers on the LAN 
• Provide support, guidance and oversight to the junior team members as needed or designate by manager

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; will consider equivalent related experience with adequate certifications
• A Certification
• Network Certification
• Microsoft Certification 
• 3 Years Azure/AWS cloud experience
• 8 years Network Administrator experience
• Azure pipelines CI/CD, a plus
• Infrastructure as code (Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, Chef), a plus
• Containers and Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service, etc.), a plus
• PaaS experience with Azure Functions, Web Apps, SQL Server as a Service, a plus

COMPETENCIES

• Diversified knowledge in setup, installation, and maintaining many different programs and technologies
• Proficient in all current operating systems such as Microsoft Windows 10 and Server versions 2016
• Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience in setup, configuring and maintaining network printing, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies
• Proficient with backup and recovery software and methodologies
• Knowledge of VMware ESX Server and vCenter
• Experience with maintaining software licensing compliance
• Understanding of good network and system security principles are followed
• Proficiency with helpdesk solutions, Adobe products, Sophos Endpoint, Manage Engine Desktop Central and Service Desk Plus, MS SQL, MS Office, MDM (Intune), Image Right Document Management System, remote control software or equivalent products is a plus
• Ability and willingness to learn new systems and applications to provide excellent support
• Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills; can write adequate businesslike correspondence
• Able to effectively present information in one-on-ones and small group settings to customers, vendors, and other employees
• Ability to manage projects independently; Follow instructions with accuracy and respond quickly to requests
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize activities to meet established deadlines
• Maintain good working relationship with all employees including co-workers, managers, and executives
• Maintain positive attitude towards assignments and easily adapt priorities to meet company needs
