Our client is seeking Cybersecurity Intermediate System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a homeland security customer in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be crucial in driving the technical cybersecurity efforts of the agency in close coordination with the Senior ISSO(s) and the Compliance Branch Lead.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Cybersecurity Division in addressing all technical cybersecurity matters.
• Assist in quantifying technical risk within the agency and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Coordinate with the Senior ISSO(s) to ensure the alignment of cybersecurity efforts with overall organizational goals.
• Provide direct support to the Compliance Branch Lead in executing cybersecurity initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across all active call orders on this Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) on systems identified for support.
• Implement and manage cybersecurity measures and controls to protect information systems and infrastructure.
• Conduct technical assessments, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in technical risk assessment and management.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior information security officers and compliance leads.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working on multiple projects or call orders simultaneously, demonstrating effective prioritization and time management.
• Qualified candidates must be US Citizens.
