The plant is investing in their manufacturing area and has a tenured workforce 

In less than a year, the last person we placed in this role has already been promoted 

2nd shift hours:

Monday-Friday, 2 pm to 10:30 pm, and will need to come in 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes after the shift 

Once fully staffed you will earn paid overtime working every third Saturday (and Sundays as needed; not currently working Sundays)

Leading tier I automotive supplier is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to oversee production in a performing, smooth running area of the plant. As the Production Supervisor, you will report to an Assistant Manager and will be responsible for the following daily tasks in an assigned area of the plant:

• Meeting and tracking production requirements and metrics
• Training, coaching, mentoring and evaluating the hourly workforce
• Ensuring shift safety, quality and delivery goals are met
• Assisting with identifying process improvements 
• Leading the shift start-up meeting and attending other meetings as needed 
• Following the production schedule and making modifications as needed 
• Reviewing and confirming shift paperwork and production numbers 
• Communicating with 1st and 3rd shift production supervisors at shift change 
• Confirming time sheets, vacation and time off within the timekeeping system 
• Conducting reviews of line leaders and production employees
• Ensuring that training is completed for new and current staff
• Other duties as directed by management 

This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the production floor 100% of their day . Candidates should enjoy leading others and holding people accountable, have attention to detail, work well within a team environment and have excellent communication skills. It will be required to train on day shift prior to moving to your assigned shift. REQUIREMENTS for the Production Supervisor:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED 
2. Experience overseeing others in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment 

3. Experience overseeing at least 10-15 people at a time 

4. Microsoft Office experience, including BASIC Excel skills 
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Production scheduling 
2. ERP experience 
3. Automotive supplier experience 

4. Non-union supervision 

5. Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
