Day-to-Day:

• Prepare 1040s, 1065s, 1120, 1120s, 1041s, 941’s, amended returns, state returns
• Consult with clients to discuss a variety of tax planning strategies
• Prepare proper, timely, accurate individual and business tax returns.
• Research and seek the advice of senior preparers when confronted with particularly challenging tax circumstances.
• Communicate with clients regarding their tax preparation services.
• Work with our client’s best interest in mind always.
• Inform clients of important paperwork and documentation needed to complete tax returns properly.
• During the "Off Season" bookkeeping servcies for our accounting clients.

Experience & Skills:

• 5 years of Tax preparation experience
• Active or Renewed CTEC Licensed & PTIN
• Familiarity with Schedules A, B, C, D, and E preparation and nuances.
• Experience with completing amended tax returns.
• Ability to use analysis to ask meaningful fact-finding questions when presented with limited tax information/source documents.
• Knowledge of accounting processes and advanced mathematical skills
• Skilled using Pro Series tax preparation software and experience in troubleshooting common tax program problems.
• Proficient computer skills (Typing, Microsoft Office, etc..)
• Experience consulting tax handbooks or other printed materials to determine the proper procedure for preparing challenging returns.
• Strong written and communications skills
