Maintenance Supervisor 3

Reports to: Senior Facilities Officer
Olympic College is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Supervisor 3 position. The position supports the College's mission by performing supervisory or expert-level work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, alteration, and construction of Olympic College buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment.
Essential Functions

  • Using industry best practices, develop and implement weekly work schedules for the maintenance division.
  • Utilizing sound work management principles perform detailed reviews of completed work week schedules to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
  • Utilizing the Megamations work management program to review work orders daily and prioritize service requests.
  • Utilizing industry best practices, develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for college assets.
  • Using a pre-published agenda, establish and lead weekly work management meetings.
  • Provide daily oversight of maintenance personnel.
  • Utilizing the Job Hazard Analysis form, identify and mitigate safety hazards associated with all maintenance work tasks.
  • Using the schedule established by the EHS manager perform safety inspections in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Working with the Senior Facilities Officer, develop and implement a cyclic maintenance continuing training program.
  • Working with the Capital Projects manager, provides day to day oversite of on campus contract personnel.
  • Working with the Environmental Health and Safety manager ensures all onsite contract personnel are in compliance with established safety rules and regulations.
  • Working with Campus Safety and Security ensures all contractor key sets are returned and inventoried.
  • Utilizing the Job Hazard Analysis form, identify and mitigate safety hazards associated with all maintenance work tasks.
  • Using the schedule established by the EHS manager perform safety inspections in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Using established procedures generate and submit monthly safety reports.
  • Working with the Senior Facilities Officer, develop and implement a cyclic maintenance continuing training program.
  • Utilizes shovels and hand spreaders, removes snow from walkways, and applies ice melt to ensure safe campus walking surfaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade and two years of experience as a journey-level worker in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work.
  • Valid Washington state driver's license.
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in commercial maintenance.
  • Two or more years' experience in maintenance work management including schedule development and implementation.
  • Ability to operate computer-based work management software, Microsoft office suet, Outlook and Teams.

  • Green Buildings Technology Knowledge
  • Experience developing and implementing training programs.

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time classified position scheduled to work 40 hours a week, with a salary range of $70,800 - $95,184 Most classified positions will start their salary at Step A, when you have completed six months of probation, you will receive a 5 percent pay increase. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Associate (WPEA) Union. Classified positions qualify for the following benefits:
