Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a timely and friendly manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about the menu
- Upsell additional items, such as desserts or specialty drinks
- Handle cash transactions and process payments using POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address any customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of food service procedures, including cash handling and order taking
- Ability to upsell and promote menu items effectively
- Basic sales skills to maximize revenue opportunities
- Understanding of the food industry, including different types of cuisine and dietary restrictions
- Familiarity with Toast POS for order processing and payment handling is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
