Visiting Fellow

The Visiting Fellow will support natural killer cell research projects in a basic cancer immunology laboratory within the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Ohio State University.

The Freud lab is focused on understanding the development and function of innate lymphoid cell subsets, including natural killer cells. The lab's overarching goal is to augment or restore innate immunity in cancer patients to help fight cancer and avoid relapse.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement study objectives with guidance from Principal Investigator

* Execute laboratory experiments

* Perform molecular and cellular biology techniques

* Collect, analyze and interpret research data

* Perform critical analysis of literature relevant to research being undertaken

* Prepare research reports and presentations

* Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

* Experience with mammalian cell culture and primary tissue processing is required

* Experience with flow cytometric analysis and cell sorting is highly desired

* Experience with DNA and RNA isolation is preferred

* Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic and/or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research is required

* Experience in a biological/health science research capacity is preferred

* Requires successful completion of a background check including a drug screen
