About the role: 12 month Fixed Term
The main duty involves overseeing and coordinating short and medium-term planning procedures, including monitoring and predicting customer demand and ensuring adequate staffing and resources to fulfil it. This role serves as the primary liaison for discussions on medium and short-term capacity, while also maintaining a strategic focus on maximising sales throughout the network. Additionally, they will act as the deputy to their Planning Manager, available to address urgent matters outside regular office hours.

This role leads operational planning, acting as the main point of contact for inquiries and managing team processes to enhance client value. Responsibilities include proactive communication with stakeholders, resource optimisation, motivating planners, ensuring service level adherence, identifying training needs, overseeing daily tasks, maintaining customer relationships, ensuring compliance, and addressing urgent queries. Periodic visits to various UK CFC sites may be necessary.
About you:
The ideal candidate must have proven operational and management experience in a fast-paced setting, showcasing strong leadership, team building, and organisational skills. They should excel in problem-solving, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude towards customer service. Additionally, they should be adept at multitasking, have analytical abilities with attention to detail, and have effective time management skills. A graduate-level education or equivalent experience is preferred, with adaptability to flexible hours, the ability to thrive under pressure, proactive issue resolution, innovation embracement, and both independent and team-oriented work styles. Being on-call outside regular hours and effective communication across all organisational levels are also vital.
