Oak Haven Rehab and Nursing Center is Hiring a Part Time Dietary Aide Near Auburndale, FL

OVERVIEW:

The Dietary Aide will prepare dining rooms and tables,provide meal service to residents and maintain cleanliness and sanitation ofdining and kitchen areas. His position will ensure full compliance withnutritional standards, internal procedures and government regulations whilepreparing and serving foods and beverages to all patients/residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Prepare meals and beverages using specificprocedures

·Serve meals using standards to maintainsanitation and quality

·Store stock appropriately in order to maintaincleanliness and prevent food spoilage

·Accurately record meals served and monitortemperatures of food

·Clean assigned dining areas using appropriateprocedures

·Wash dishes and/or utensils according toacceptable standards of practice

·Ensure compliance with sanitation

·Participate in menu planning

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:

·High school diploma/GED required

·Familiar with clinical diets

·Culinary and/or food service experience in ahealth care facility an asset

·Able to read and interpret common recipes

·Willing and able to work well within a teamenvironment

SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES:

·This position has no supervisoryresponsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·May work in extreme temperature shifts, fromextra heat in the cooking are to freezing temperatures when working in thewalk-in-freezers.

·Exposed to sharp knives, hot surfaces and wetfloors in the workplace
