About Us: SDS Automation is the go-to provider of equipment sales, parts, service, and technical support for companies in the sign-making and steel rule die-making industries across North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide prompt and courteous customer service via phone and email.
  • Parts Identification: Correctly identify parts and materials to meet customer needs.
  • Estimates: Generate accurate quotes based on customer requests.
  • Order Fulfillment: Properly fulfill customer orders by verifying, packing, and preparing items for shipment.
  • Purchase Orders: Receive, understand, and generate purchase orders to various suppliers and vendors.
  • Technical Support: Directly support our technical services team during machinery installations and service visits.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately manage and track inventory, monitoring min-max thresholds for adjustments.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comprehend exploded diagrams and schematics for effective problem-solving.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a forklift and pallet jack as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Shipping and Receiving Specialist and Precision Tooling Department.
  • Versatility: Be prepared to serve as a backup for the Shipping and Recieving Specialist.
  • Adaptability: Be ready to take on additional tasks as management assigns.

Qualifications:

  • Work Ethic: Professional, detailed, organized, and self-guided.
  • Physical Stamina: Able to lift to 75 pounds and stand for long periods as necessary.
  • Experience: Familiarity with order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Versatility: Punctual, reliable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient computer skills (Windows, Office 365, CRM, etc.).
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, both written and verbal.

Safety First:

  • Completion of forklift training and adherence to other safety protocols as determined by the employer.
