NV5 is seeking a full-time Survey Field Technician - (Instrument Operator) , for our Cary, NC office. This entry level position will assist the Party Chief and Survey Coordinator for timely completion of assignments.

The most frequent and essential work activities include:

• Operate the survey total station and level instruments.
• Record survey data in field books.
• Maintain all survey equipment.
• Assist party chief with survey files and field calculations.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0-2 years of land surveying experience
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid drivers license prior to employment-preferred
• Ability to travel.

• Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
• Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required.
• Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
