Are you looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference for seniors? Join our client and become part of a team of people whose mission is to improve the health, happiness, and dignity of senior living residents! This position is ideal for a physician who appreciates a flexible work schedule and wants to minimize uncompensated clinical work. There is limited or no call required, and the schedule is flexible, but you must be able to round once weekly for a few hours in person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose pain from injury, disease, or disabling conditions
  • Evaluate and treat patients with physical or cognitive impairments
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Provide adaptive tools to improve patient health and physical functioning
  • Counsel patients and families on lifestyle changes
  • Support and advise patients receiving long-term care

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Doctorate degree (M.D. or D.O.)
  • 1 years of experience in any of the following:
    • Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
    • Geriatric/LTC
    • Post-Acute Care Settings (SNF, IPR, LTACH)
    • EHR documentation
  • Positive attitude and passion for quality care
  • Current unrestricted medical license in the state of employment
  • Board Certification by The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
  • Current DEA certificate (or in progress)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in geriatric and post-acute care settings
  • Knowledge of medical policies, regulations, and procedures
  • Skill in developing and maintaining quality assurance and control standards
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Schedule and Shift Details:

  • Flexible work schedule
  • Minimal call requirements
  • Weekly in-person rounds for a few hours
