AAA Club Alliance is currently seeking a Lead Test Automation Developer for Salesforce. This role is a critical member of the Systems Integration team who ensures that a solution is fit for the needs of the business stakeholders and drives Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives within the Salesforce system. This position will collaborate with the Systems Engineering team and key business leaders to review the overall requirements, develop test plans/cases, identify defects, and create strategic resolution plans. Recognized as a Salesforce subject matter expert, this role will oversee all technical aspects of the product testing process. The primary duties of the Lead Test Automation Developer, Salesforce are to: Plan, design, lead, and execute technical solutions and improvements that advance a culture that motivates teams to ensure zero defects leak into production. Ensure that the organization exceeds Salesforce test coverage governance and oversee compliance. Foster partnership with DevOps engineers to fully automate testing throughout the release and delivery processes in the (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)) pipeline. Create detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases and oversee maintenance of documentation. Design test processes and procedures to ensure an end-to-end regression test suite to reduce repetitive manual testing. Lead the translation of high-level requirements into test cases through the user story refinement process. Leverage market-leading automation frameworks and tools across all levels of testing that integrate in the automated CI/CD pipeline. Troubleshoot very highly complex issues identified during the testing process. Lead implementation of the shift-left test strategy as the organization re-architects our technology platform. Oversee the Agile (Scrum) team process and perform required standard testing activities, keeping the customer experience top of mind during the testing process. Lead product design reviews ensuring quality practices are baked into the software development and deployment life cycle. Oversee test environment documentation and test data management container strategies and provisioning for the different types of testing activities to meet business needs and standards. Comprehend and translate user stories/requirements to identify what tests need to be created and automated across all levels of testing. Working knowledge of the AAA brand, the impact it has on our people, culture, business, customers and communities and apply that knowledge and passion to this role. Guides less experienced staff through technical decisions. Fosters collaboration and engagement among team members to efficiently identify and implement solutions. Mentors and coaches junior staff and those new to the organization. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications): Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, and 8-10 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Salesforce and/or Testing Automation tool certifications highly preferred (e.g. Gearset or Copado). Advanced Salesforce product knowledge and seven years of experience in testing automation engineering with both User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API)-based testing. Advanced experience with performance and load testing strategies and automation. Extensive experience with continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) supporting technologies (GIT, GitLab, Docker, etc.). KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Collaborates and builds effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. Leads by example through contributing as part of a team culture where all are encouraged and willing to share information accurately. Demonstrated ability to gather and consolidate requirements from cross-functional groups. Works independently, referring only the most complex issues to supervision. Work is reviewed for mid- and long-term goals. Expert-level knowledge of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) solutions (e.g. Oracle, SQL). Expert-level knowledge of virtualization platforms and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP). Excellent verbal and written communication as well as listening skills. Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical colleagues. Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of core networking principles. Ability to troubleshoot highly complex issues and complete root cause analyses with little supervision. Ability to work under pressure and meet constantly changing timelines. Ability to strategize and coordinate project tasks with other QA team members. Highly proficient creating test libraries and code using an automation tool (e.g. Selenium, GearSet). Extensive knowledge of White Box Testing practices. Expert knowledge of Automated Test-Driven Development (ATDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
