With boutiques currently open from coast to coast and several locations on the horizon, The NOW is looking forward to bringing their thoughtfully crafted menu with customizable enhancements, healing products and singular design aesthetic to cities all over the United States

Essential Functions:

• Ability to act and work with a high level of self-motivation, ability to multi-task, and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
• Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and ensure that financial statements are GAAP compliant
• Desire to implement best in class accounting practices and technology
• Assist with the monthly accounting close process for multiple entities including preparing and reviewing work papers
• Oversee and review financial information provided by franchise owners
• Ability to learn various software and reconcile multiple reporting
• Monthly comparison of income and expenses to budget with review of variance analysis and account reconciliations
• Contribute to the accounting department’s accurate and timely reporting of all financial and non-financial reporting
• Monthly forecasting of income, expenses and cash flow analysis
• Coordinate and prepare work papers provided to auditors annually
• Assist with responding to auditor and tax preparer questions
• Assist with automating and streamlining processes
• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

Non-Essential Functions:

• Work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
• Prepare correspondence related to finance for numerous departments including Acquisitions, Asset Management, and Investor Relations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Related Field preferred
• 5 years' experience of related experience
• 3 years’ experience in inventory management
• Franchise experience a plus
• Mix of public accounting and private accounting preferred
• Detail oriented with superior organizational skills
• Intermediate to advance with MS Office software/Excel, QuickBooks, MS Dynamics

Communication Skill Requirements:

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex agreements
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Ability to draft professional correspondence to colleagues and third parties

Compensation Benefits:

California $95,000 - $115,000 discretionary annual bonus
