Northwest is Hiring a Head of Treasury Management and Commercial Deposit Product Near Columbus, OH

The Head of Treasury Management and Commercial Deposit Product will be responsible for overseeing the development, management, and growth of our treasury and deposit product offerings to institutional clients, ensuring our bank remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence in this competitive landscape. This leadership position will drive strategic direction, product innovation, and collaboration across various departments to achieve business objectives.
Essential Functions
•Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the overall strategy for Treasury and deposit Products, aligning with the bank's objectives, risk appetite, and market trends. Provide visionary leadership to guide the team toward successful outcomes
•Product Development and Management: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of treasury products, including ideation, conceptualization, design, development, pricing, and ongoing enhancement. Ensure product offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with client needs. Manage multiple vendors and integrate the Northwest bank product offering to be compelling and relevant to our customer group
•Innovation: Drive innovation utilizing approach such as design thinking and lean startup across products, business models, strategic channels, and partnerships to create exceptional value for our clients and grow new and robust revenue streams for our bank
•Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor offerings, and evolving client requirements. Use market signals and insights to identify opportunities for new product introductions or enhancements to existing products. Lead a continuous benchmarking effort for the bank
•Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with technology teams, Relationship Managers, Risk Management, Compliance, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless product development, implementation, and ongoing support. Foster a culture of cross-functional teamwork
•Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth through effective pricing strategies, client targeting, and value proposition communication. Monitor product performance and take corrective actions as needed to meet revenue targets
•Risk Management: Work with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure all treasury products adhere to regulatory requirements, risk standards, and internal controls. Mitigate risks associated with product development, sales, and execution
•Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key institutional clients to understand their needs, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for tailored treasury solutions
•Team Development: Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product managers and specialists. Provide coaching, guidance, and professional growth opportunities to team members
•Communication and Training: Communicate product value propositions internally and externally. Provide training to sales teams and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of treasury products
•Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and success indicators for the Treasury Products division. Regularly report progress and insights to senior management
Additional Essential Functions
•Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
•Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
•Work as part of a team
•Work with on-site equipment
Additional Responsibilities
Safety and Health for Supervisors with Direct Reports
•Provide leadership and positive direction for maintaining the safety and loss prevention program
•Actively participate in and support employee participation in the safety and loss prevention program by ensuring that employees know how to properly report a safety issue, making sure that all accidents are promptly reported to Human Resources and documented, and ensuring that prompt action is taken whenever workplace hazards are identified
•Help implement emergency procedures

Education
Master's Degree Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
Work Experience
12 - 15 years Progressive experience in financial services product
5 - 6 years Experience in treasury products, product management, strategy, innovation, or related roles within the Banking or financial services industry

•Ability to identify existing and potential problems, obtain and evaluate relevant information, identify possible causes of the problems, and suggest an alternative course of action including innovative or creative approaches

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of financial markets, treasury management, and cash management products
Demonstrated track record of successful product development and management, including launching innovative products to market in banks and startups
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a diverse team
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing market opportunities
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations related to treasury products
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure product performance
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
