The Engineering & Sciences organization is looking for you to join our team as the Operating Unit (OU) Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Lead supporting our Advanced Land Sensors (ALS) portfolio in the Maritime & Land Sensors and Systems (MLSS) Division. This position is an on-site position and will be located in Linthicum, Maryland.
Roles and Responsibilities
Direct the execution of the overall systems engineering, integration, and test (SEIT) effort across the ALS portfolio
Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and across programs in the ALS portfolio
Planning and execution of the Systems Engineering Core Functions
Ensure the integrity of engineering processes, and timely development of core engineering work products
Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), ALS program SEIT leads, program management office, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.
Serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM), which comprises cost and schedule management for the SEIT work scope
Oversee configuration management of the program technical baseline
Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.
Serve as a primary technical interface with the customer
Develop capital and development projects to support strategic capture plans
Align measurement objectives and activities to meet program performance goals and objectives.
Plan and execute engineering staffing activities, and ensure the project team has qualified staff to execute the program core functions
Support Engineering Metrics Collection and Management
Plan, execute, and close out Systems Engineering sections of technical program reviews
Minimum 10% travel to be expected (to customer, supplier, and/or other Northrop Grumman locations)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 14 years of experience, A Master’s degree with 12 years of experience or a PhD with 9 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields. 4 additional years may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Active DoD Secret clearance required.
Minimum of 7 years experience in systems development, integration, and/or test for sensor systems
Minimum of 5 years experience leading technical teams
Experience supporting and resolving complex technical problems
Strong understanding of Systems Engineering lifecycle
Demonstrated great communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR
Knowledge and experience with ground radars and AESA radar development, design, test
Master’s degree in STEM or technical leadership
Multi-disciplinary engineering experience and exposure (Software/Digital, Hardware, Electrical, Systems) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally.
Experience with technical risk and opportunity management
Experience with digital twins and modeling
Experience in both domestic and international radar business
Experience supporting USMC and/or USAF customer
Experience managing contracts of $10M

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position is contingent upon transfer of DoD Secret Clearance
