Top client is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist in the Denton area. Great opportunity
Responsibilities:
•Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and other machining equipment, to manufacture large parts according to specifications.
•Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
•Program and adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds for optimal performance.
•Conduct precision measurements using various tools and gauges to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances.
•Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines to ensure their efficient operation.
•Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve technical issues.
•Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
•Train and mentor junior machinists, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
Requirements:
•Extensive experience as a machinist in a job shop or similar manufacturing environment, focusing on large-part machining.
•Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including programming and setup.
•Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
•Proficient in using precision measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
•Solid understanding of machining principles and cutting parameters.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Prior experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
