Physical Security Administrator

JOB MISSION

The mission of the Embedded Application Engineer is to provide first level support by troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-level access control, video system, and database applications while maintaining and executing on Northland Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Must have 1 years of security industry experience.
• Certified in Lenel
• Software House CCure 9000 Systems Installer/Maintainer
• FLIR Certifications
• Understand segmentation or partitioning in a system.
• Experienced in configuring networks.
• Experience and understanding of enterprise system architecture.
• Certifications in Avigilon ACC/ACM, S2 Access Control Systems and Video Management Systems are plus.

DUTIES

Essential duties of the position include:

• Test, program and troubleshoot access control and digital video systems.
• Follow assigned projects through to final adjustment and commissioning of installed systems.
• Install complete turnkey system (software and hardware).
• Troubleshoot system/network related issues over the phone with customers and vendors.
• Complete system health checks and preventative system maintenance
• Customize system to tailor to customers’ business model.
• Support project managers
• Programming physical security systems including access control, video management systems and other security integrations.
• Provide Level 1 Service support for customers.
• Carry out and drive installations to Northland and Client standards.
• Create and maintain system documentation for customers.
• To work in compliance with the company’s health and safety standards and requirements, with the safety of self and others in mind at all time.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to actively listen and problem solve.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Certifications in FLIR or Avigilon ACC/ACM, S2 Access Control Systems and Video Management Systems

Certified in Lenel or CCURE 9000

Understand segmentation or partitioning in a system.

Experienced in configuring networks.

Experience and understanding of enterprise system architecture.

TRAVEL

This position may on occasion travel out of the country, to other Regions, and to Northland Headquarters in Milpitas, California.

Travel up to 10-15% of the time.

WORK AUTHORIZATION

Must be authorized to work in the country of employment.
