The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team, which functions to meet the objectives of the community medical center where they work. The LCSW is a BILLABLE PROVIDER ENCOUNTER under the FQHC Guidelines. The LCSW will provide baseline mental health evaluations on clients at the start of their medical care at the clinic. Provides brief counseling interventions, crisis management and community referrals for clients demonstrating emotional, psychological and/or psychiatric symptoms. Provides referrals for psychiatric evaluation and treatment if appropriate based on mental health evaluation. Coordinates and supervises mental health services provided to clinic clients.

Reports to: Director of Behavioral Health Services

1. Requirements:
   Master’s Degree in Social Work and has earned their license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in the State of California or able to obtain reciprocity of license from another state within 90 days of employment.
2. Minimum of two years prior experience providing direct patient services in a medical environment, or prior experience in working with patients in a clinical or social services environment; including working with adults or adolescents in individual, group, and family therapy.
3. Able to work a flexible schedule of 20 to 30 hours per week or full time as designated by position.
4. A working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and contemporary general office practices and procedures.
