Head Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach
North Shore Country Day, a progressive, academically rigorous, co-ed, JK-12 independent school in suburban Chicago, seeks a Head Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach for the Fall 2024 Season. North Shore is eager to consider applications from groups traditionally underrepresented in independent school communities.
Team Duties:

• The Coach needs to be available during practice times which can range from

3:30-6:30 on or off campus. The coach must be available to travel on the bus to away game dates that could leave as early as 2:00 in the afternoon and games that can be on weekends.

• Be a leader of the entire program including building connections between JV and Varsity and

relationships with the Middle School teams.

• Represent North Shore Country Day at all School, League and State Volleyball

Meetings & Workshops

• Possess strong written and oral communication skills, including observing, listening, discussing and analyzing.
• Communicate weekly with players and parents.
• Promote their team and the school year-round
• Work effectively with other coaches and athletic administration at NSCD
• Work with the Admissions Office to help attract and enroll student-athletes
• Provide supervision before and after practices and contests until all players

depart.

• Participate in required school training and appropriate professional development

Offerings.

• Have a willingness to take the team on an overnight/out of town trip
• Have a valid IL driver’s license and be willing to drive students upon occasion in

school owned or rented vehicles.
