Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time candidate in our Coeur d'Alene Clinic to perform a number of duties including greeting and scheduling patients, answering and routing calls, data entry and insurance verifications. This position requires a significant amount of multitasking and the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately. A team mentality with a willingness to help wherever needed is a must.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Ability to navigate multi-line phone system.
• Accurate data entry skill set.
• Cash handling experience.
• Intricate understanding of provider and patient scheduling.
• Insurance verification and assistance with information regarding referrals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, (EHR a plus).
• Self-motivated with a team attitude.
• Detail orientated.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Welcoming personality and ability to obtain information from patients efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Answer multi-line phones, either directing calls or handling caller’s needs.
• Greet patients upon arrival and complete appropriate documents while obtaining insurance information
• Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
• Data-entry into EHR
• Process payments from patients for copay, co-insurance and un-insured visits
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on availability
• Verification of insurance and the ability to communicate with patients this information
• Ability to create a new medical record and assist with file organization
• Handling of standard opening and closing procedures
• Flexibility to be used wherever needed
• Proper handling of protected health information

Qualifications and Skills

Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.
