The mission of the North Carolina Textile Foundation is to advance the Wilson College of Textiles through engagement, partnership and philanthropy. Essential Job Duties The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement and Stewardship will serve as an active team member in the development and implementation of the Foundations short-term and long-term planning objectives. The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement and Stewardship will work to engage alumni and donors through in-person and digital events and volunteer opportunities. This position will also be responsible for executing stewardship initiatives to recognize donors at all levels. The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement and Stewardship reports to the Associate Director of Development.
**Alumni Engagement** (approx. 75%):
* Provide lead support in executing in-person and digital programs and initiatives to increase alumni, donor and student engagement
* Oversee the Deans Young Alumni Leadership Council by:
Leading the development of council goals, objectives and strategies
Providing support to leadership and committees to help reach their goals.
Coordinating meetings and activities
Preparing and distributing meeting materials
Maintaining contact with Council leadership and members between meetings
Training new members and leadership
* Manage the Wilson College mentorship program, a program developed to connect current students and alumni
* Collaborate with campus partners to develop a strategy for student engagement that offers touchpoints at core junctures of their student experience
* Travel periodically to engage with alumni at Wilson College of Textiles and NC State events, utilizing personal interactions to assess volunteer interests and alumni needs, ultimately developing and maintaining relationships with alumni
* Ensure sound fiscal management of alumni engagement initiatives
* Serve as liaison with NC State Alumni Association and campus partners to leverage university events and activities and be an effective part of the larger NC State network
**Stewardship** (approx. 25%):
* Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Communications in the development, editing, printing and distribution of stewardship materials including but not limited to the quarterly newsletter, impact reports, invitations, impact stories, solicitations, scripts, birthday and holiday cards, emails, website content and social media posts.
* Oversee scholarship acknowledgement letter process including hosting letter writing workshops for students, and tracking, organizing and mailing acknowledgement letters.
* Serve as the stewardship liaison to the Office of Development Communications and Stewardship.
* Establish and oversee all processes for effective outreach, timely acknowledgement of gifts, appropriate recognition of donors, volunteers, etc.,
Other Responsibilities Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Experience/Education Bachelors degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
* Two or more years of experience (professional, student, and/or volunteer) in development or alumni relations.
* Ability to learn and effectively utilize database applications.
* Experience in Higher Education or nonprofit setting
* Experience with Wordpress, Mailchimp and Advance database systems.
Required License or Certification Valid Drivers License required to make visits and attend events. Local and national travel required.
