Nor Cal Pipeline Services is Hiring an Outside Sales Representative Near Burbank, CA

Summary:

Outside Sales Representative must be well organized and motivated to expand business opportunities with goals of increasing the need for Nor-Cal’s services and meeting KPI’s. This includes building a foundation in Hydrovac Excavation, Pipeline Cleaning and CCTV inspection. You should be knowledgeable, analytical, and decisive with excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities described here are not a comprehensive list, and the scope of the job may change as necessitated by the business demands.

  • Representative will develop and expand new business opportunities with the goals of increasing the need for Nor-Cal’s services and building a foundation for long-term success.
  • Representative will work to develop a strong relationship with a growing network of clientele.
  • Daily tasks include the following:
    • Visiting project sites, potential customer offices, and industry events to generate new business.
    • Effectively manage sales pipeline from lead to close.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with target contractors/businesses in the industry while focusing on creating new and repeat business.
    • Reviewing project documents to quote and close jobs effectively.
    • Communicating with existing and potential customers via email, phone, or in person.
    • Attending industry events, meetings, conduct sales presentations as needed.
    • Analyze customer and market segment needs to drive profitable business growth.
    • Assist Area Manager with broadening business opportunities as needed.
  • Representative will continuously seek to ensure Nor-Cal’s success, developing sales strategies, budgets, forecasts and plans as requested.

Qualification Requirements:

Prior business to business sales experience and a strong customer service background are required, along with a proven ability to exceed sales goals or quotas. Related industry experience in one of the following areas is strongly preferred: Hydrovac Excavation, Pipeline Inspection, Pipeline Rehabilitation, Pipeline Cleaning, Oil and Gas, and Commercial Underground Construction.

  • 2 years minimum experience in sales related industry of heavy civil, engineering and commercial construction preferred.
  • Individual must possess or quickly develop a complete and thorough knowledge of all excavation, inspection, and services provided by Nor-Cal Pipeline Services.
  • Individual must have exemplary written/communication and interpersonal skills, have an ambitious and entrepreneurial personality, and be engaging and social with the ability to listen well.
  • Individual must be dedicated, self-motivated, and creative.
  • Individual must be professional, reliable, team oriented, and organized with the ability to work on multiple jobs/tasks at once.
  • Individual must be willing and able to travel occasionally.
  • Must demonstrate general computer literacy and be experienced with Microsoft Office programs.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and written skills with customers and employees. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, word, excel and outlook, and sales software.
  • Must have organizational skills and be detail oriented. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and accounts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and fumes or airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
