Noo-Kayet Investments (NKI) is the economic development arm of the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, and is organized to provide strategic guidance, business management, analytics, entrepreneurial startup assistance, and funding for new and existing tribal business.

We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Worker to undertake the responsibility to preserve the condition and functionality of enterprise property. The ideal Maintenance Worker is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. They will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Must be able to perform all work duties with minimal interruption to other staff occupying building.
2. Mow lawns, trim hedges, remove weeds, rakes and disposes of leaves and other debris.
3. Shovels snow from sidewalks and driveways surrounding NKI buildings.
4. Spreads sand/salt on roads to prevent ice buildup.
5. Paints and repairs masonry, woodwork and building furnishings.
6. Builds, repairs and installs cabinets, counters, walls, floors, doors, building framework and trim.
7. Maintains and repairs plumbing and electrical fixtures.
8. Assembles furniture and other large equipment.
9. Moves furniture and equipment.
10. Maintains NKI vehicles and performs routine inspections.
11. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance thoughtfully, completely, and in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Valid Washington State Driver's License
3. Ability to use a broad range of power tools and other necessary equipment to complete projects.
4. Basic computer skills are required, as well as the ability to learn word processing, spread sheets and other software programs.
5. Preferred knowledge of electrical, plumbing, basic repair and maintenance and history or preventative maintenance duties.
