Summary Statement: This position is responsible for the uptime of all the machinery performing changeovers and in-process machine adjustments. Timely and accurate decision-making is crucial. Staying on top of the condition of the machinery in the plant always is of utmost importance.

Qualifications:

· Industrial maintenance and mechanical repairs.

· Knowledge of motors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

· Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

· Time Management and decision-making skill.

· Must have a valid current driver’s license.

· Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

· Strong Excel Skills.

· Strong troubleshooting skills.

· Solid, honest, and open communication skills.

· Solid and clear recording keeping is a must.

Education & Experience:

· A 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience is required.

· Machine troubleshooting and repair experience in a metal forming environment is preferred.

· Millwright apprenticeship with experience in roll forming is a plus.

· Experience working with automotive or industrial machinery is a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Safety is first and most important. Knowledge on safe practices around electrical and moving equipment.

· Maintaining the conformance of the Lock-Out / Tag-Out program during routine maintenance of machines and special uncommon repairs.

· Assist in machine tweaks to make a quality part.

· Monitoring product Quality.

· Perform tooling setup and line changeover on roll-forming machines.

· Perform in-process machine adjustments to meet quality specifications.

· Utilize engineering drawings to troubleshoot production and quality issues.

· Ability to perform mill face alignment.

· Perform preventative maintenance on the machine as per schedule.

· Lead the effort of installing & commissioning new machines.

· Responsible to insure that machine is capable to meet product quality standards and that the set-up of the machine is meeting those standards.

· Assist in die changeover and setup of machines.

· Perform detail documentation of the changeover and adjustment process and train other associates on it.

· Practice good housekeeping by keeping work area clean.

· Perform other duties as delegated by the Engineer.

Physical Demand:

· The physical demands are high; the ability to lift, move, reach are significant, and determination and stamina are highly regarded in this position.

· The work environment is safe and clean, but a keen sense for safety is needed when working on machines & it can be dirty at these times.

· Summer will bring some hot days, and winter will bring some cold days, work is expected to progress during these days.

Work Environment:

· Noise is commonplace; ear protection should be worn at all times when in the manufacturing areas.

· Safety glasses, gloves & ear plugs should be worn 100% when in the manufacturing areas.

· Dirt, dust and grease will be present.

· Machines have pinch points, fast moving parts and protruding parts, which present themselves as a potential injury. All ACM associates must be aware of these dangers.
