NMA is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Salt Lake City, UT

Position Title: Staff Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports To: Accounting Manager

Job Category: Accounting/Finance

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure business transactions are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare and maintain the company’s balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reconcile and review corporate credit card expenditures
  • Prepare closing journal entries
  • Prepare financial statement variance analysis
  • Assist with month, quarter, and year end accounting procedures
  • Assist with the company’s financial audits
  • Execute and monitor financial reporting controls
  • Monitor and analyze financial accounting data
  • Create financial reports based on data analysis

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • CPA candidate a plus

Experience/Training:

  • Two or more years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Health-care industry experience preferred but not necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product
  • Ability to meet and establish deadlines
  • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player

Working Conditions:

  1. Generally work in office environment
  2. Long periods of computer and office machine use
  3. Requires sitting, stooping, use of hands and fingers, ability to talk and hear

Physical Demands:

  1. Occasionally walk short to moderate distances
  2. May need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Neuromonitoring Associates (“NMA”) provides intraoperative monitoring to monitor the integrity of nerves and neurological responses along neural pathways to reduce the risk of injury to a patient's neural structures during high risk procedures. Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring helps physicians and surgeons identify and protect neural structures by getting a clear vision on how the nervous system is functioning during the surgeries. NMA takes our patients’ needs to heart. We provide them with everything they need for every step of the process: we prepare them for procedures by giving them all the available info, set up all the machines and equipment during surgery, and consult with their doctors to deliver the highest possible quality of care.
