Summary
Under minimal direction, works with IT Manager for overall responsibility of the management, operations, and monitoring of the local area network systems, associated servers, network switching/routing infrastructure, network integrated support systems, applications, and associated equipment. Provides network project solutions, connectivity, and user support for both the network and microcomputer hardware.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Administers and manages all servers, switching/routing infrastructure, and equipment in the data center.
· Installs patches, fixes, and updates to software from various venders and companies.
· Installs and configures all hardware components necessary for the daily ongoing management of the data center related peripherals.
· Ensures systems resources are available and appropriately used by all users. Ensures network services and connectivity are available to all appropriate users.
· Monitors network storage and usage requirements and reports resources or storage issues to manager.
· Manages and maintains disk/tape backup system for all network devices in the data center.
· Recommends application and network solutions to the manager.
· Manages all aspects of user profiles including security, access, remote access, network resource access, e-mail access, and internet access.
· Handles network related issues and helps to support specific functional applications (QA, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.) of the business operation.
· Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot systems as directed.
· Proactively, systematically, and assertively address issues as they arise.
· Coordinate with staff at various levels within the Company and with vendors and consultants as directed.
· Serve as a Help Desk resource as needed for resolving system issue, network issue, both during and after hours.
· Installs computer equipment and related peripherals.
· Loads specified software packages such as operating systems, office automation, or functional specific applications as directed.
· Review system functions to verify correct system operation.
· Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware/software as well as operator problems. Troubleshoots systemic microcomputer events and issues.
· Recommends or performs remedial actions to correct systemic or computer-related problems.
· Replaces and repairs defective computer equipment throughout the facility as directed.
· Provides project status and completion information to manager. This is accomplished via system, voicemail, e-mail, or in person.
· Provide after hours On-Call support and project work as directed.
· Assists in design and implementation of Information Security Standards and IT Controls.
· Other duties within the department as assigned.
· Light travel as needed.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science or Equivalent related experience and/or training

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
