STS Aerospace is Hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor Near Laconia, NH
STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join the team.
This position is responsible for the coordination of activities for the production staff, adhering to production schedules, assisting with workflow management, communication with other departments and supervisors, and seeking areas for improvement to increase efficiency. Supervisors are responsible for taking initiative for professional development for themselves and their staff as well as promoting a positive company culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
· Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.
· Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
· Plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders.
· Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages employees in a Production cell or department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises 5-10 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
