POSITION TITLE : Inventory Control Lead

REPORT TO : Distribution Manager 

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the day-to-day warehouse inventory monitoring to ensure that inventory counts are current, and accurate. This person has the additional responsibility to be a team leader of several other employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inventory
  1. Correct locations based on cycle counts
  2. Investigate and find missing stock
  3. Ensure cycle counters are being productive
• Cycle Count

• Investigation of issues that arise through the cycle count process
• Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory 
• Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark product displaying remaining product left 
• Review receipt history, Inventory Variance Report, adjustments, and sales to determine causes of mismatched inventory counts
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products manager/DC Manager

• Comply with Company safety policies, procedures, and best practices
• Other projects as assigned by manager

REQUIRED SKILLS OR EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years related experience and training
• Previous experience as Cycle Counter Clerk preferred
• Knowledge of Distribution and Warehouse processes
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Excel, and WMS system experience 
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamworking skills
• Must have basic math skills
• Must be able to lift/carry up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis
• Must be able to work in warehouse environment
• Must be able to be on your feet, bend, kneel, squat and pull inventory items 
• Willing to respond to time-critical issues and work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed to meet deadlines
