Overview: The Architect Security Operations Center (SOC) plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's information systems and network infrastructure. This position is tasked with the strategic design and implementation of advanced security solutions, ensuring the robustness and compliance of the SOC with organizational security policies and standards.

JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Embrace responsibility for the design and architecture of Security Operations Center technologies.
  • Design and improve a scalable and resilient SOC infrastructure that integrates various cybersecurity tools and technologies. This involves creating a robust architecture that supports real-time monitoring, data analytics, incident response, threat intelligence, and other essential data sources.
  • Create detailed plans for the deployment of security systems, including the placement of sensors, the configuration of tools, and the implementation of systems. Ensure these designs align with the organization's overall architecture guidelines and business objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate security tools and solutions, such as SIEM, and advanced threat detection software. Ensure seamless integration of these tools with existing IT infrastructure for efficient data collection and analysis.
  • Design the SOC systems and tooling to be scalable, flexible, and adapt to both the evolving threat landscape and the growth of the organization. This includes planning for future expansions, technology upgrades, and integration of new tools and processes.
  • Research, recommend, and participate in the ongoing evaluation, testing and selection of frameworks and policy.
  • Analyze technology alternatives against business requirements to select products best meeting Caesars Entertainment needs, considering all relevant factors.
  • Assisting with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Provide technical leadership to the company, maintaining knowledge of technology direction, applying that technology to create benefit for the company.
  • Participate in long-term strategic planning linking the overall SOC architecture to Caesars Entertainment vision.
  • Maintain and improve the relationship between the Cybersecurity Operations Center and the Enterprise by demonstrating superior management of commitments and customer service.
  • Establish and document related standards and procedures required to maintain an effective corporate computing environment.
  • Enhance and review security practices, standards and procedures to ensure that critical company assets, including data, are secured.
  • Collaborate with all teams closely to ensure the effective development, implementation and ongoing operability of cross-platform applications.
  • Participate in rotating on-call 7 X 24 last-level support and perform off-hours changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • 5-7 years hands-on work experience in a technical role in SOC Operations, Information Security Engineering, Cybersecurity Architecture, or a related position.
  • Requires demonstrable knowledge of traditional and cloud secure configuration & deployment practices, mission-critical systems, & industry standards.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and project management skills.
  • Operations management, project management, and system implementation management skills.
  • Understanding of security fundamentals, network architecture, disaster recovery and backup.
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently toward detailed goals in a complex environment with ever-changing demands.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to submit to additional background checks, you may be licensed to work in various regulated casino jurisdictions, and/or various screenings during your employment.
The Casino Entertainment industry is a 24x7x365 industry. This job will require occasional after-hours support for both users and projects.
This position is authorized to work remotely. Candidates local to the Las Vegas, NV area preferred.
