Job Description Position Overview: Responsible for managing shipping, receiving, and storage of both raw materials and finished goods. Responsible for environmental, health and safety accountabilities. Must be able to efficiently utilize space, people, and equipment in a safe manner. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all company/plant policies. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Warehouse Responsibilities: Abides by all Amcor’s Safety & Quality policies and procedures. Ensures that all forklift drivers are properly trained in their respective job duties and aware of potential safety and/or health risks. Maintains safe-working conditions by taking corrective action on unsafe conditions/acts. Ensures compliance with OSHA and GMP requirements. Schedules delivery of supplies for the production area to include performs, tier sheets, top frames, pallets, boxes, and labels as necessary through forklift drivers. Maintains accurate reports of all daily shipments of finished goods to customers and freight bills of lading. Responsible for all operational equipment in the warehouse area including forklifts, trailers, and dock doors. Communicates with vendors and negotiates maintenance costs to ensure equipment is in safe working order on an ongoing basis. Periodically reviews job performance to ensure training objectives are met and job performance meets company standards. Responsible for the following SAP functions: proper ticketing of finished goods and raw materials, cycle counting, inventory control and reconciliation and HFI coordination and tracking. Responsible to maintain acceptable levels of inventory accuracy for all commodities. EH&S Responsibilities: Set an impeccable example for all co-workers, contractors, and visitors. Manage site compliance in accordance with applicable Amcor, Federal, State, and Local Safety and Environmental regulations and standards. Clearly communicate our belief that Amcor can achieve “No Injuries” and that all incidents can be prevented. Conduct regular standard audits, safety inspections and behavior audits to identify unsafe conditions and practices. Create the site safety strategy and ensure action plan responsibilities are shared amongst management, frontline managers and employees. Actively seek out best practices from other plants, communicate our site best practices with other plants, and determine actions to be implemented from Hazard Alerts. Demonstrate and enforce behavior expectations as they relate to our safety culture for all co-workers at the plant. Establishes employee safety orientation and training programs based on the specific hazards and nature of the operations. Conduct monthly inspections and audits of the plant or facilities with the plant management team to evaluate the effectiveness of regular departmental safety inspections. Conduct and review all Incident Investigation Reports to assess thoroughness of investigation and corrective action taken. Establish and maintain accurate statistics on work related injuries. Assist plant management in the development of emergency programs and procedures for first aid, chemical spill, medical treatment, emergency shutdown, fire protection, rescue activities, ambulance service, etc. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3-5 years experience in a production supervisory role. Ability to communicate quickly and effectively at all levels of the organization. Must be proficient in MSOffice. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
