New York Institute of Technology seeks a temporary Print Specialist to assist with the day-to-day operations in the Digital Print Center at our Long Island campus.

Responsibilities include:

Accept orders and designs from clients.
• Format the design for the specific product.
• Set up the printer and load the materials.
• Run the printer, inspecting products along the way for accuracy.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs on the printer.
• Assures pricing accuracy of job tickets and assist with paper and inventory estimates.
• Meets all customer commitments through the production of timely, efficient and high quality products.
• Maintains an organized environment and addresses technical issues with the Digital Printers, corresponding back and forth with Canon Technical Services regarding error codes or machine malfunctioning.
• Assisting the Print Specialist with other assignments such as stationary (printing letterheads and envelopes, punching and binding jobs).
• Perform other duties as assigned

20 hours a week; ideally 5 days a week but flexible. 10-2pm or 11-3pm.

High school diploma or GED certificate.

Associate degree in graphic design (preferred).

Experience with commercial printers.

Sharp eye for detail.

Excellent customer service skills.

Familiarity with Print Machines a plus.

Ability to lift 80-100lbs.
