Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking an LPN to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Clinics from Southampton to NYC. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will:

• Give medication as prescribed by a Physician.
• Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature and weight.
• Administer injections of medication.
• Administer immunizations.
• Obtain patients medical histories.
• Enter information into EMR computer systems.
• Start IV’s after certification as well as phlebotomy.

We require:

• Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
• At least 1 year of working in a medical facility. 
• Good computer knowledge. 
• Ability to start IV’s helpful.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus. 
• Compassionate patient care.

Salary up to $30 per hour.
