POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor will support the Distribution Director and plays a critical role in ensuring an efficient operation by directing the flow of work across the Distribution Center and overseeing all aspects of daily operations. This person will manage performance, drive operational metrics, reporting, and customer service inquiries.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONSThe specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience and knowledge of managing all operational and administrative elements of the Distribution Center (DC). 

KNOWLEDGE Acquired through education, certifications, training, experience.

  • Experience with planning and staffing required, and budgeting preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills, coaching and developing leaders & employees.
  • Strong process improvement mindset focusing on continuous growth.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with WMS, TMS and ERP systems
  • Ability to evaluate overall operations and develop short- and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results.
  • Understanding of P&L.
  • Ability to delegate when assigning employee workloads.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and production issues. 
  • Clear knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods when working on the warehouse floor.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with frontline employees, peers, and executives.
  • Lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Continuous lifting, bending, twisting, and crouching.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for up to 10 hours.

Level of Experience:

  • 5 years of supply chain experience, including distribution center, inventory, and transportation experience.
  • 3 years of experience leading a team.
  • Bilingual preferred (fluent in Spanish preferred).

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field preferred, or commensurate experience.

Travel:
Travel as required <10%.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.

  • Plans, implements, and monitors the daily operations including workflow scheduling, monitoring of productivity and quality, process troubleshooting, and all other activities required to ensure safety, on-time deliveries, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates
  • Effectively communicate daily goals, recognition, and areas of focus
  • Interviewing and selecting talent for the DC
  • Partner with customer service to maintain a high level of satisfaction by providing consistent communication and following up on customer concerns and requirements.
  • Partner with IT to support, test, debug and maintain WMS System.
  • Effectively using computers, technology, and RF guns
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
