Tiello is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Boston, MA

Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Commercial General Contractor Company in the Greater Boston Area on their search for a Construction Estimator to join their Building Services division. We're looking for a motivated and collaborative individual to play a key role in construction projects, providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring financial feasibility. As part of the team, you'll report directly to division leaders, making a significant contribution to the company's growth strategy.

Job Title: Construction Estimator

Project Types: Cleanroom/ Laboratory, Retail Store, Warehousing, Hospitals/ Healthcare, Commercial Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source quotes from subcontractors and vendors using bid management software.
  • Evaluate project plans and RFP requirements.
  • Finalize proposals using internal bidding system.
  • Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and clients.
  • Develop detailed work descriptions for subcontractor quotes.
  • Present final bids for Senior Management approval.
  • Ensure subcontractor participation through regular communication.
  • Collaborate with Project Team to review bid proposals.
  • Assemble final bid packages, meeting all RFP elements.
  • Submit all bids within set deadlines.
  • Arrange transition meetings for awarded projects.
  • Follow up on submitted bids with clients, architects, or construction managers.
  • Inform subcontractors about unsecured projects.
  • Discuss project details with project team.
  • Provide ongoing support, assisting with change orders and resource sourcing.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of construction estimating experience.
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions and complete a variety of tasks.
  • Proficiency in SAGE Construction Management Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
