Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced nursing care to patients in various settings.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform medical procedures such as IV insertion, venipuncture, and medication administration.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding their healthcare needs.
- Participate in utilization review activities to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources.
- Willing to become certified for DOT or other Occupational Health.
Qualifications:
- Valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Florida.
- Master's degree in nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Certification as an APRN by a recognized national certifying body.
- Proven experience in primary care or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical documentation and EMR systems.
- Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, medication administration, and venipuncture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge in Pre-Op, EKG, and DOT is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and workflows.
