Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health care to patients of all ages. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in need. We are especially interested in a PMHNP that is Bilingual in Spanish as our primary mission is to serve the Latino community of Nebraska.
Duties:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
- Prescribe and manage medications for patients with mental health conditions
- Provide therapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and their families
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
