Overview

To serve as test lead on products and perform integration, regression, and functional testing on Finance Domain transaction management systems. Ensure compliance with Navy Federal testing best practices and policies. Analyze functional, and non-functional requirements to determine the most appropriate application testing approach. Create effective test strategy, test plans, and test cases/scripts. Support business unit through user acceptance testing process. Provide SQA sign off to certify product releases. Investigate production issues and provide testing support.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive testing on multiple platforms including web based, client server and mainframe.
• Create and edit test plans in accordance with system requirements.
• Create, update and execute manual test case/scripts within the approved test tool(s).
• Build manual test case/scripts with automation in mind by following test management guidelines.
• Write basic automated test case/scripts from scratch and troubleshoot errors.
• Create, modify and/or locate the data and conditions needed to execute test cases.
• Identify areas for improved testing processes.
• Modify, coordinate and schedule input for daily processing.
• Document bugs and report on testing activity.
• Serve as subject matter expert regarding business functions, systems, policies and/or procedures.
• Assist with addressing system inquiries or problem resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing Azure DevOps (ADO), Azure test plans, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and other testing tools.
• Ability to work in SAFe Agile methodology with product teams.
• Expert knowledge of the planning and testing phases of systems development life cycle.
• Knowledge of test automation framework, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience as a test engineer on highly visible and/or complex projects.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Highly skilled in identifying and prioritizing system problems.
• Experience with SQL, Selenium, Cucumber, Micro Focus ALM/Octane.
• Experience developing test scripts for SOA Services and SOAP/REST APIs.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

Desired Qualifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CTFL) certification.
• ISTQB Certified Tester, Advance Level (CTAL) certification.
• SAFe Agile certification.
• Technical experience with Remittance Processing and Payment Processing software.
• Knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, policies and procedures.
