PRIMARY PURPOSE: To contribute to customer satisfaction by preparing and serving high quality food products in accordance with the standards of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Prepares all “hot” items for breakfast bar and/or restaurant in the prescribed manner and presents food in an attractive and appealing manner.
- Ensures food in warmers maintains required temperatures
- Prepares appropriate amount of food in accordance with hotel occupancy
- Maintains amount and quality of food in warmers to Ensure that each customer will receive high quality food from the breakfast bar
- Prepares and properly garnishes all food orders as they are received in accordance with menu specifications, ensuring proper plate presentation
- Checks all coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity, and quality of food products
- Requisitions food with necessary approvals according to policy
- Takes proper care of ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, griddles, utensils and other equipment
- Contributes to customer satisfaction by attending to restaurant customer needs
- Informs host/hostess or manager of any customer dissatisfaction
- Ensures that breakfast area/restaurant is in proper condition for arrival of customers
- Verifies workstations are stocked, neat and orderly
- Checks the overall condition of the dining room, insuring its readiness for customers
