Role Description

One River CPAs’ Senior Accountants analyze and reviews financial data and prepare financial statements and reports for clients. They provide resolutions to a diverse range of problems consistent with a thorough understanding of accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Our Senior Accountants have the capability to direct and review the work of Accountants, and the capacity to make sound decisions on most accounting, auditing and tax matters. When unusual circumstances arise, they present the pertinent information to the Engagement Manager or Director for their input and follow their advice accordingly. The Senior Accountant is expected to exhibit initiative, responsibility and professionalism in performing critical duties, and in the achievement of ongoing professional growth through a commitment to lifelong learning.

One River CPAs is looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. The ideal employee would be self-directed, organized, motivated, and have an attention to detail as well as an ability to multitask. Strong computer proficiency is needed especially with programs within Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with QuickBooks and other online accounting software. Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
• Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
• Proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Excel
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide accurate and timely insights
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred)
• Experience in a CPA firm or similar professional services environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Exhibits professionalism, enthusiasm and respect in all interactions with clients and guests.

•Directs and reviews the work of staff Accountants, mentoring as appropriate.

•Develops the skill set necessary to establish and retain quality client relationships, including business development and relationship building.

•Demonstrates a command of knowledge and familiarity with pertinent IRC sections and regulations and/or GAAP, GAAS and Government Audit Standards.

•Performs evaluation of Accountants, managing their performance on an ongoing basis.

•Assumes responsibility for the supervision of tax return preparation engagements as appropriate.

•Plans, coordinates, and supervises the various phases of an audit engagement.

•Maintains current knowledge and achieves continued professional growth through an ongoing review of professional journals and publications, attendance at appropriate meetings and seminars and a commitment to lifelong learning.
