In surgery, Qventus leverages artificial intelligence and behavioral economics to ease block management and grow strategic volume through automation. The Role
In this role, you’ll report to Dr. David Atashroo, a surgeon and the Managing Director of the Surgery Business. In addition, you’ll have regular opportunities to collaborate with Matt Heim, Vice President of Sales, who has successfully built and scaled surgical businesses across organizations such as Intuitive and Medtronic. As a core team member in the fastest-growing corner of our business, you’ll have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor during an exciting time of growth. Building your business, you’ll lead sales from prospecting through contract signature, with an unshakeable conviction that patient care must always come first, and providers should never accept going without the tools and technology they need to do their best work.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leveraging your clinical experience in surgery to direct prospects, develop leads from your existing network, and lead discovery conversations 
  • Defining and developing the market for a new product that is not a commodity sale
  • Probing to uncover customer problems and pain using your understanding of operating room management and dynamics amongst surgeon and executive stakeholders 
  • Using your ability to compellingly convey complex ideas to end users and functional leaders using examples, anecdotes, and stories
  • Intuitively thinking, processing inputs quickly and pivoting messaging / emphasis to address audience interest
  • Developing champions who can articulate need and urgency in a complex sale
  • Being an infinite learner, naturally curious and hungry to grow 
  • Embodying a tenacity of spirit to overcome objections and find the front, back, and side doors into any deal
  • Achieve an annual sales quota

Key Qualifications:

  • 8 years experience selling complex solutions to hospitals and health systems (non-commodity sales)
  • Experience in the surgical enterprise, credibility working with surgeons and Perioperative executives
  • Strong interpersonal skills; in particular, prior experience building trust in executive relationships, employing indirect influence cross-functionally, and a clear communication style
  • Experience in a sales hunter role, and comfort building a business within a territory
  • Ability to travel (approximately 75%) when safe to do so
  • A passion for keeping patients at the center and ensuring clinicians have the tools they need to provide world-class care
