JOB DESCRIPTION:

An entry-level research assistant position supporting neurobiological and neuroanatomical studies of mouse model of fetal alcohol syndrome. This job requires animal handling, biochemical and histological analyses, and cell culture techniques.

JOB DUTIES:

• Histological studies, including perfusion of mice vibratome sectioning, and immunohistochemistry.
• Biochemical analyses using immunoblot and qPCR techniques.
• Cell culture of neurons and glia.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS in biological or chemical sciences.
• Mouse (or rat) handling experience.
• Competence in cell culture work.
• Experience in histology, biochemical, and molecular biological techniques.
