NANA Regional Corporation is Hiring a Program Manager Near Anchorage, AK

Job Description SummaryThe Program Manager is responsible for all project aspects, such as work completion, management, and financial performance within an assigned program. Works with client to obtain future work for the program; Manages relationships between the project teams and the client; Communicates progress/problems/opportunities to the company for support, Works with functional managers to forecast/mobilize/demobilize resources to support the program; Assures projects within the program comply with all client and company processes and procedures; and mentors assigned project managers and other team members as required. *This position qualifies for the NANA Worley Employee Referral Program, available only to current NANA Worley employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Client Relationships - Documents and communicates regularly as necessary with client contact(s) to assure the relationship stays strong.Effectively manages multiple stakeholders and maintains/develops healthy client relationships. Proactively resolves performance, scope, cost and schedule issues with the Client as they arise on the projects within the portfolio.
  • Commercial Management - Effectively manages project contracts, maintains, or improves gross margin sold, and minimizes non-billable charges and activities on the projects within the portfolio. Works with project teams to determine project delivery strategies that meet client expectations and increases company's profit margin.Works within the client organization to gain other project work and to sell services.
  • Cost Control - Within the NANA Worley project controls framework shown in Operating Manuals or Administrative Procedures:
  • Plans and ensures preparation of accurate project estimates.
  • Establishes cost reports for control of projects.
  • Monitors and controls all cost aspects of the project including forecasting costs, obtaining approvals, identifying trends, and taking action to avoid cost overruns including identifying opportunities.
  • Conducts continual assessment of performance of cost control system and personnel.
  • Reviews time charges and approves applicable invoices and confirms they are consistent with forecasts.
  • Quality Management - Ensures the NW and client quality system requirements are identified and applied on the project.Assures Process Improvements are implemented on projects in the program through Lessons Learned, Preventive and Corrective Actions.Assures all project teams within the program are performing work in accordance with company policy and procedures, as well as any approved portfolio specific procedures.Works with functional managers to reform procedures as necessary.
  • Team Management - Provides clear and focused leadership for the project teams in the portfolio to create a vision for success and a strategy to fit that vision. Focuses on achievement of milestones and other key program objectives that have been developed and agreed upon by the Manager of Projects and the General Manager.Fosters an environment for continuous improvement and accountability within the program.Works with functional managers to forecast portfolio project resource needs in a timely manner.
  • Communications Management - Ensures accurate and timely progress reporting of established KPIs to key stakeholders both in the company and client organizations. Ongoing monitoring of the communication network between project staff, the client and third parties and introduction and management of changes were required.Facilitates project reviews to company management on a monthly basis.
  • Risk Management - Leads project teams in identification of project risks and opportunities. Guides the development of opportunities and risk management actions. Monitors closure of all identified risks and opportunities.

Qualifications Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
  • Ten(10) years of increasing responsibility in project management
  • Five(5) years of experience in the hydrocarbon industry
  • Strong coordination skills
  • Team player with excellent leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and of scheduling and controls software such as Primavera or Project
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited college or university.
  • Fifteen years of increasing responsibility in project management
  • PMP Certification
