N4 Solutions is Hiring a Technology Transfer Patent Specialist Near Rockville, MD
N4 Solutions, LLC is seeking a Data Manager to support our customer the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in the Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Office (TTIPO) providing support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives. This position is contingent upon passing a government suitability test.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare patent applications and other related patent prosecution documents
- Draft reporting letters summarizing the specific action received from the applicable patent office
- Participate in the development of new policies and procedures regarding Technology Transfer.
- Provide support for the administration of patent legal services contract; review incoming law firm billing and invoicing documents for formal requirements.
- Enter data into databases, perform data quality checks, maintain database integrity for all actions related to:
- Patents
- Employee invention reports (EIR)
- Patent maintenance and annuities
- Agreements and post-execution agreement compliance documentation
- Stay abreast of changes in the US and foreign patent laws and policies that have implications for NIAD and CDC
- Assist with advertising and marketing efforts.
- Prepare training and standard operating procedure documents as needed to support TTIPO operations
- Occasional travel may be required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of three years of patent paralegal experience in a law firm required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
- U.S. Citizenship
