Job Description

Responsible for the daily Repair Station purchasing activity and rotable component management. Management of the buyer(s) staff and general oversight of the operations of the parts department, including the stockroom and shipping/receiving. Providing the direction and leadership required to achieve professional parts sales, parts processes, and customer service/customer satisfaction standards. Responsibilities will include vendor selection to acquire the required parts, hardware and material to support the Repair Station activity. Strong parts experience and managerial experience is required. The Inventory Control Manager will report to the General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Enforcement of company policy and procedure within the Inventory Control department.
2. Supervision of the Purchasing, shipping and receiving and storeroom personnel to ensure work is carried out in accordance with the Repair Station policies and procedures and that it is completed accurately and on time.
3. Become proficient in the TFBO software.
4. Develop Reporting as directed.
5. Manage the implementation and usage of our Bar Code System in the Parts Department.
6. Provide advice in the solution of specific purchasing problems and the training and guidance of personnel.
7. Daily coordination with the production manager on priorities for parts needing to be ordered and placing in process for timely purchase.
8. Oversee purchasing, returning, inventory control and paperwork for the parts department.
9. Attending customer meetings as directed.
10. Communicate with the Shop Manager or his delegate on status of parts for active Work Orders.
11. Quote customers and follow up quote/sales opportunities, providing high quality customer service and response.
12. Negotiate with suppliers.
13. Verify that correct procedures are being followed in the parts processing.
14. Maintaining conformity with work rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
15. Assist with overseeing and directing the organization of the parts room including the implementation of bin locations at Worldwide Aircraft Services.
16. Provide backup for Parts personnel by fulfilling their function when they are away.

17. Oversee the identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining all stock and tools to a serviceable or unserviceable category as designated by the Chief Inspector.
18. Verify the preservation of all articles or parts, while carried in inventory, including parts that are subject to deterioration and shelf-life specifications.
19. Monitors appropriate parts inventory, stocking levels are maintained and identifies sources as necessary.
20. Distribution to all pertinent departments any miscellaneous technical information, etc., which is received by the stockroom.
21. Assist Company accounts receivable/payables department resolving invoicing issues as associated with the Repair Station.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
High School or GED equivalent education. Able to read, write, and use mathematics. Microsoft office proficient. Good problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative and common sense.
EXPERIENCE, SKILL, AND KNOWLEDGE:
One to three years' experience in an inventory management or purchasing environment. Must have effective communication skills to interact with customers and staff. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Ability to prioritize and manage workloads. Computer literate must type 40 WPM, highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with experience of web-based aircraft parts databases. Operating other office equipment such as copy machines and/or printers. Aviation experience and direct aircraft parts sales is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposed to typical aircraft maintenance conditions such as engine noise, riveting, dust, and chemical fumes, none of which to the extent of being intolerable. Hearing, vision, and breathing protection provided in appropriate areas. Working areas naturally ventilated and mechanically heated/cooled when required. Some exposure to elements of weather when travelling and/or commuting between buildings.
