$19 - $21,
plus
a
15% shift premium

Job Summary· Operates manufacturing equipment that includes presses, forming, extrusion, pultrusion and/or shape machines.· Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and can produce materials that conform with company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards.· Duties also involve manual work and duties that require the use of various hand tools and secondary/accessory equipment (scrapers, pry bars, hammer, chisel).Essential Job Functions:· Manufacture molded glass polyester sheets by laying up material to the desired thickness and spreading resin according to work orders.· Select and install machine components, such as dies, spacers, shims and/or stops according to specifications, using hand tools and measuring devices.· File and de-flash molded sheet edges and perform/record in process measuring and material inspections.
Qualifications and Competencies· Production and Processing-Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control,
preferred .· Knowledge and use of hand tools,
preferred .
Education and Experience· Experience in a manufacturing industry with mixing, batching or compounding equipment,
preferred .· High School Diploma or GED,
preferred .· Hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training,
preferred .

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is may be required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typical of most shop environments; not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.· Frequent exposure to fumes/dust particles; may require use of respirators or other types of PPE.· May come in contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
