Under supervision, assists in planning, preparing, cooking and serving meals and cleaning the kitchen and surrounding work area at the Muckleshoot Child Development Center or other designated sites.

Graduation from high school or equivalent and six (6) months of commercial cooking experience or experience preparing a variety of food in large quantities is required.
Knowledge: food preparation and cooking, food service equipment, basic nutritional guidelines, Washington State Health and Fire codes, safety and sanitation procedures; Skills: cooking, baking and serving high-quality, nutritious meals, oral and written communications, working as a team member.
Frequently required to stand, bend, reach, and lift, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Frequently exposed to high temperatures and liquids while cooking. Occasionally exposed to freezing temperatures while storing and retrieving food from cold storage. Continuous use of close vision.
