MTSS is Hiring a Librarian / Academic Success Coach (Full-time/ Part-time) Near Piscataway, NJ

Job description:
AIMS Education is looking a for a Librarian / Academic Success Coach who can join our college academic team on full-time or part-time basis. AIMS Education is an equal opportunity Employer.
Job Requirements:
A Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (MLA) accredited school preferred.
1-2 years of experience working as a librarian in an academic library required.
Experience working with Library consortia and other resource sharing groups a plus.
Experience managing library staff a plus.
Demonstrate experience utilizing current library technologies and internet resources.
Demonstrate knowledge of information literacy best practices in strategies, methodologies, trends, and practice within academic libraries.
Minimum of 2 years of office experience in college advising and academic advising/guidance
Thorough knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act
Ability to advise students individually.
Available to work on flexible schedule, evenings, and weekends.
Individuals must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer service skills.
Candidate must, have good people skills, and a commitment to student's service excellence.
Ability to manage high level confidentiality and compliance.
Knowledge of college student development and student success theory and/or experience working with non-traditional student populations, student advising, or undergraduate retention
Responsibilities:
Maintains and supervises the operation of the AIMS Library and all its resources.
Provides research assistance to faculty, students, and staff.
Assists faculty, students, and staff by recommending and locating relevant materials.
Ensures access to electronic resources for all faculty, students, and staff.
Provides technical support to help resolve access problems to electronic resources.
Provides class webinars and video instruction to ensure library resources are being utilized properly
Assist in the implementation of various academic support interventions (AIMS Academic Enrichment Program, Academic Coaching, etc.).
Coordinate all aspects of accommodations for students receiving ADA-504 support services (room reservations, scheduling, proctoring, etc.).
Demonstrates commitment supportive of the multicultural needs of the AIMS Education community are highly desired.
Assists with training students to use assistive technology, providing workshops, and promoting inclusion on campus. Serves as resource person for students, faculty, and staff on matters regarding the provision of academic accommodations for students with disabilities
Instructs students in basic computer skills.
Monitor effectiveness of information literacy plan; update as needed
Collaborates with faculty and staff to design programs that will enhance students' literacy skills.
Collaborates with faculty and staff to ensure accessibility and awareness of library resources.
Promotes awareness and use of electronic resources.
Monitors the effectiveness and usage of library resources, creates surveys, and participates in program effectiveness committee meetings; provides monthly and annual reports regarding library usage.
Provides professional development opportunities which will help expand information literacy and promote awareness of available library resources.
Collaborates with faculty in the development and organization of library resources.
Leads long-term planning activities including a collections development plan.
Develops informational materials to promote library services.
Works with school administrators and faculty to develop library policies.
Catalogs all library resources.
Performs clerical duties including shelving books and filing.
Works with faculty and administration to develop strategies for collecting and preserving library resources.
Participates in relevant professional associations.
Participates in library meetings and various program advisory committee meetings.
Serves as a resource person for students, faculty, and staff on matters regarding the provision of academic accommodations for students with disabilities.
