MRI Technologies is looking for a Network Monitor to support the Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology (IT) Solutions (AEGIS) contract. The AEGIS contract provides high quality integrated communications services for secure voice, video and data solutions and services to NASA customers worldwide. The selected candidate will be supporting NASA's network needs in the Enterprise Network Operations Center (ENOC) located on-site in Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

As a Network Monitor you will:

• Monitor status of all LAN/WAN network infrastructure
• Respond to alarms in Spectrum and take appropriate action against/for them
• Create incidents for network anomalies and perform call outs all hours to ensure an analyst is aware of the situation you are reporting
• Must be able to think quickly and make the appropriate choice for the situation with little to no supervision

Education and Experience:

• A BS degree.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience in the field.

Required Qualifications:

• Work off shift; this position is for off shift once acclimated to the environment
• Basic understanding of PC systems
• Experience assessing and documenting communication systems in accordance with NIST standards and best practices
• Familiarity or basic understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, TCP and UDP

Preferences:

• Highly desirable- experience with Spectrum and help desk applications
• Previous help desk or Tier 1 call center environment
• Network certifications are certainly considered
