The Movement Park LLC is Hiring a Summer Camp Lead Positions at The Movement Park Near Hillsboro, OR

Are you ready to join an exciting and energetic team at The Movement Park? We are a parkour facility located in Hillsboro, Oregon, offering thrilling obstacle course activities, physical games, board games, and crafts at our summer camps.

Camp Leads

As a Camp Lead, you will play a vital role in organizing and managing our camps. We are looking for individuals who are 21 years old or older, preferably working towards or currently working in a child-focused career. College students are also a great fit for these roles. Your responsibilities will include camp organization, logistics, and parent interactions. You will assist with behavior management and ensure the success of daily operations and Game Masters. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective delegation are essential. You must have a friendly and outgoing personality, and be comfortable leading physical activities when necessary. Camp Leads make $20-$25/hour and must be able to work a minimum of 7 weeks between June 24th and August 23rd. Lead shifts are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 2:30 pm

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage campers in various activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience
  • Plan and lead physical group games, and arts and crafts.
  • Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills and teamwork.
  • Assist in setting up obstacle courses and devising physical games and activities that align with summer camp themes.
  • Implement behavior management techniques to address any challenges that arise.
  • Collaborate with co-counselors to create a positive and inclusive environment for all campers.
  • Lead and mentor our game master staff and counselors in training - teen volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Camp Leads: 21 years old or older, preferably working towards or currently working in a child-focused career.
  • Comfortable in an environment that involves physical movement, enforcing safety rules with positive corrections.
  • Comfortable discussing children's behavior with parents and building a cooperative relationship for the child's successful camp experience.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure, using creativity to problem-solve and pivot quickly.
  • Previous experience in behavior management, babysitting, special education, sports coaching, or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to educate and interact effectively with children of all ages
  • Experience working with students in areas such as theater, childhood development, or early childhood education
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting
  • Passion for working with children and creating memorable experiences for them
